Merry Channuka

Seems as the mere utter of the word "Christmas" may be offensive to some. I've never understood this but only now have I heard of this sort of religionism on a worldly scale.

When I was in high school a lot of the girls were wildly intrigued by the notion of witchcraft, accepted by all and practiced by more than a few, but a stutter in Christ's direction would only fall on deaf ears. I assumed it was just part of the unspoken rule - never debate religion expecting a casual conversation. So I forgot about it.

I am not terribly religeous but a Christian all the same, therefor Christmas is the only holiday I've ever celebrated on the 25th of December, but not once has the thought of Jews celebrating Channuka ever offended me. I don't lose sleep during Ramadaan or Passover. That just seems outrageous. But now, after all the hush-hush over Christmas, it dawned on me; why does the celebration of Christmas offend other religion groups?

But as I type I realize that perhaps all my ignorant life other religions have been ostracized while I sat peacefully under my triangular tree.

There's No Place Like Home

England was AWESOME. Canada is FREEZING! There are no words to descride the cold. And everyone walks around here like it's no big deal. Besides the chill, Canada possesses two very great qualities: cheap iPods and lighting-fast internet! I'm in Heaven.
