To pay or not to pay
Something's been bugging me and I don't know if this is the right place to vent but I'm going to anyway.
All these 21sts are really getting to me and they haven't really started piling up yet. Mine's coming up and yes, it costs a fortune to throw a party, but it's seems like the last thing parents are obliged to pay for before adulthood hits. The thing is, 90% of the parties I've been to have had a cash bar and the more of them they are, the more it unnerves me.
My parents are more than happy to cater to everyone's alcoholic needs, but I'm so piqued I'm almost ready to have a cash bar myself, but then I'd be part of the problem. If all parties were paid for, it would all work out equally. But maybe times have changed. Maybe our generation is different.
Selfish isn't the right word, but it's the first that comes to mind.
