Good Times
After many things going wrong in the first 22 days of 2006, things are beginning to look up. Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but I hope it's not.
I made a deal with Tess, who has also had a pretty shoddy year so far, that all the bad things this year has to offer will happen first, so as to make way for the good times to come. It seems we're not the only ones who have crossed paths with old Murphy, so I hope our deal applies to anyone else whose year hasn't come off to the greatest start.
One particular aspect of my life which I pray will take a turn for the better is varsity. I hate running into people whom I haven't seem since last year and trying desperately to hide my scowl when they ask the dreaded question, "So how's third year treating you?" "FUCKING FINE! I FUCKING HATE MY COURSE AND THE FUCKING PRETENTIOUS FUCKING WANKERS I HAVE TO FUCKING DO FUCKING GROUP WORK WITH EVERY FUCKING DAY TO PURSUE A FUCKING CAREER I DON'T FUCKING WANT TO FUCKING PURSUE!" I wish. It goes more like (rehearsed fake smile from ear to ear), "Oh it's ok, same old, same old... So what have you been up to?"
Yes, I'm being overly melodramatic. Oh well. Hey, look at the time... Gotta get to bed; school tomorrow.
